Leamington Lions Girls FC became a Charter Standard Club in May 2003

Then with the Ladies team came Adult Charter Standard in May 2007

Exactly one year later Charter Development Club status was achieved in May 2008

Then the club in its 10th year become a Community Club in December 2008

we can offer quality coaching with our FA qualified Volunteers in an environment that is both fun and safe.  

 The girls teams play there Home games at Harbury Lane Recreation Fields and train every Wednesday evening at Myton School in the winter months  who's facility boasts the very latest FIFA approved 3rd generation artificial surface. 

Our senior team play there games at The New Windmill Ground on a Sunday and train  at the above. 

We also have a thriving School-Club link project and have been involved in organising football activities for the local community, with more bigger things to come in the summer.

 

The FA Charter Standard Clubs programme provides national recognition to those clubs that demonstrate:

  • Required standards

  • Raising standards

  • Reaching excellence

  • There are three awards, each with their own targets and status for which clubs can aim.

FA CHARTER STANDARD CLUBS

Available for both youth and adult clubs, however youth clubs must demonstrate;

  • Management

  • Child Protection

  • Qualified Coaches

  • Codes of Conduct

  • Insurance

FA CHARTER STANDARD DEVELOPMENT CLUB

Must have met the criteria for charter standard club and must also have;

  • At least 5 teams at 4 different age groups

  • Football Development Plan

FA CHARTER STANDARD COMMUNITY CLUB

This award is the pinnacle of the Charter Standard programme. 

In addition to meeting all of the charter standard criteria above, clubs need;

  • 10 teams youth to adult

  • Mini Soccer

  • Boys and girls teams

  • 3-5 year Football Development Plan
