Lions went over to Leicester on Saturday to enter the Oadby and Wigston Pre Season Tournament.

This competition is unusual in the fact that it is 11 a side.

 

Lions played some good football during the group stages which consisted of 4 ten minute matches and managed to score 8 without reply.

Goal scorers were:

 

Bex 2, Adkins 2, Grace 2, J.Lo and Meg

 

This meant that we topped the group and a passage direct to the final where we met Marston Green.

As is the norm against Glen's side the final was a very close encounter with just a Bex Todd goal separating 2 closely matched teams.

 

With the season starting next week against our U14s this was a good workout for the girls and our third trophy of a very successfull summer.
